When I first received the news, my mind didn’t immediately go to the award itself.
Instead, it went to every conversation, every mentoring session, every workshop, every event, every business owner who had trusted me with their dreams, and every lesson that has shaped The Growth Manager into what it is today.
Awards are wonderful.
But this one feels different.
Because it isn’t simply recognition for a business.
It’s recognition for a philosophy.
A belief that business growth should feel purposeful.
That strategy should create clarity, not confusion.
That success should support your life, not consume it.
And most importantly, that every entrepreneur deserves access to practical guidance that helps them build a business they genuinely love.
Today, I wanted to share what this award means not only to me but also to every client, partner, and member of The Growth Manager community.
Who We Are and Why The Growth Manager Exists
The Growth Manager was never created to be another business consultancy.
It wasn’t built around buzzwords, complicated frameworks or one-size-fits-all advice.
It was created because I saw too many incredible business owners trying to navigate growth on their own.
They weren’t lacking ambition.
They weren’t lacking talent.
They weren’t even lacking ideas.
They were lacking clarity.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of business owners across Australia through private mentoring, government programs, workshops, speaking engagements and strategic consulting.
Despite coming from different industries, they all shared a common trait.
They wanted to build successful businesses without sacrificing everything else that mattered.
That’s what The Growth Manager exists to help people do.
We believe business growth should be:

- Human-first.
Our role isn’t simply to help businesses grow.

It reinforces something I’ve always believed: businesses don’t need more noise.
They need trusted guidance.
They need practical strategies.
They need mentors who genuinely care about both the business and the person behind it.
Being recognised on a global stage tells us that this approach matters.
Not just to our clients, but within the broader business community as well.
What This Award Really Means
Awards can sometimes appear to celebrate the destination.
For me, this award celebrates the journey.
It reminds me of every season that led to this point.
- The early days of building businesses.
- The years spent working across marketing, business development and mentoring.
- The countless conversations with founders trying to make sense of growth.
- The decision was to create a business focused entirely on helping others succeed.
- And perhaps most significantly, the unexpected challenges that reshaped how I lead.
In 2022, after sustaining a brain injury and developing chronic pain, I had to completely rethink the way I worked.
Suddenly, long hours weren’t possible.
Pushing harder wasn’t an option.
Everything became about intention.
Systems.
Planning.
Boundaries.
Purpose.
Ironically, that season strengthened The Growth Manager in ways I never could have predicted.
It reinforced the philosophy I now teach every client.
Growth isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing what matters most.
Receiving this award feels like recognition of that philosophy.
Not because it’s easy.
But because it works.
Recognition Is Meaningful. Impact Matters More.
If I’m honest, awards have never been the reason I started this business.
They’re certainly appreciated.
But they aren’t the goal.
The goal has always been impact.
It’s the client who finally gains the confidence to increase their pricing.
The founder who moves from overwhelm to clarity.
The business owner who finally takes a holiday because their systems now work without them.
The entrepreneur who realises success doesn’t have to come at the expense of their health or family.
Those moments matter far more than any trophy ever could.
